Caroline Guinee ('20)

On Christmas Eve, His Holiness Pope Francis opened the Holy Door of St. Peter鈥檚 Basilica to mark the start of the Jubilee Year, then offered Mass for the Solemnity of the Nativity of the Lord. Among the faithful there present was TAC alumna Caroline Guinee (鈥20), who had the honor of reading one of the preparatory prayers for the Jubilee 鈥

鈥 as well as proclaiming the second reading during the Mass:

鈥淓veryone keeps asking me how I got this privilege,鈥 says Miss Guinee, a program assistant with the Thomistic Institute at the Angelicum. 鈥淚 honestly have no idea how it landed to me, other than God is so sweet.鈥

Recommended for the honor by her superiors at the Angelicum, she reports that she was 鈥渢otally blown away鈥 when asked to do the readings in early December. 鈥淚 just felt very honored to be a part of the opening of the Jubilee and the Mass,鈥 she says. 鈥淗onestly, I still feel like God was way too sweet to me in giving me this privilege.鈥

Merry Christmas!
