In the waning days of October, the ���ϲ����� Art Club hosted an evening of fine art on the California campus. On the balcony of the St. Bernardine of Siena Library, participants gathered to find a host of art supplies — graphite and charcoal pencils, a variety of paints, brushes, canvases, and the like — plus a wide array of delicious snacks, and the Art Club’s founding members: seniors ZoëAnna Gibson (’23), Rose McNiff (’23), and Regina Terreri (’23).

As the sun began to set, the campus itself served as many of the artists’ subject, and students spread out across the balcony with their supplies. Compliments rang out as works took shape, the students supporting one another each step of the way. Even Assistant Dean for Student Affairs Dr. Travis Cooper joined in the fun as he worked on a sketch of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity Chapel.

A great many of the student artists had previous artistic experience and reveled in the opportunity to reengage with their talents. “I really love art,” said Gianna Brittain (’25). “Any chance that I do have to paint or draw is good for me.”
