Toward the end of every academic year, the freshmen, sophomores, and juniors each have one last chance to share a special moment with the soon-to-be graduates before Commencement. The juniors on the California campus recently took their turn, hosting the annual Junior-Senior Dinner & Dance. Transforming St. Joseph Commons into a magical space, the juniors gave the Class of 2022 a night to remember.

String lights and decorative flora hung above the College鈥檚 upperclassmen as they shared a gourmet dinner, prepared and served by the juniors, and enjoyed a final dance together late into the night. 鈥淚t was just our class and the juniors,鈥 said Nicole Walshe (鈥22). 鈥淭hey鈥檙e the class we鈥檙e closest to, and it was wonderful to have everyone together in a more intimate setting鈥欌

Some took the moment to be a portent of things to come, however bittersweet. 鈥淭his dance felt especially special because I finally saw the seniors as seniors,鈥 Sophie Cummings (鈥23) observed. 鈥淚t got me charged up to be senior 鈥 they鈥檙e passing their legacy on to us.鈥 Turning to the seniors鈥 approaching departure, she added, 鈥淚鈥檒l miss them, but they鈥檙e ready to go into the world and evangelize.鈥
