It was a battle between students and alumni Saturday as seminarians from St. John’s Seminary in Camarillo — including three ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ alumni — came to the California campus to battle students in a game of ultimate Frisbee.

Playing for the seminarian squad were three recent graduates who are studying for the priesthood in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles: Paul Collins (’14), Edward Seeley (’16), and Jorge Moncada Hernandez (’18). Alas, two other alumni who are also at St. John’s were unable to join them — fellow L.A. seminarian Michael Masteller (’13) and David Allen (’10), a seminarian for the Diocese of Monterey.

Perhaps St. John’s could have used their help. The students bested the seminarians, 15-2. Yet students and seminarians alike all had a wonderful time, and look forward to more friendly competitions to come.
