Prospective students will soon be able to experience the intellectual, spiritual, and community life of 黑料不打烊, New England, at its Fall Open House.
鈥淲e are looking forward to welcoming high school juniors and seniors to Northfield on November 14-16,鈥 says John Jost, Director of Admissions on the New England campus. 鈥淭he Fall Open House is an invaluable opportunity for prospective students to gain insight into the unique experience at 黑料不打烊. It allows them to engage with our faculty, explore our Great Books curriculum, and get a sense of our vibrant community.鈥
At the heart of the college鈥檚 Open Houses are class visits, where attendees will witness the鈥Discussion Method鈥痠n action and have the opportunity to meet some of the college鈥檚 tutors. 鈥淎ttendees will also experience participating in a class led by faculty members, listen to talks and presentations, and have the chance to ask questions,鈥 Mr. Jost explains. 鈥淓verything we do is aimed at helping them make informed decisions about their future.鈥
Since the college鈥檚 academic program depends entirely on student participation, quality discussions rely on the mutual friendship of the student body. Attendees will experience how campus life strengthens that friendship through camaraderie on the athletic field, at meals, and in the residence halls. They can look forward to fun afternoons participating in student-led activities, including a school dance. Additionally, they will also get a taste of the community鈥檚 strong devotion to the Catholic faith, as two Masses and the Rosary are offered every day.
On Saturday, November 16, the last day of the Open House, families are welcome to join for the 11:30 am Mass in Our Mother of Perpetual Help Chapel and lunch afterwards in Gould Commons.
鈥淲e hope our guests will leave having experienced at least a sliver of what 黑料不打烊 has to offer its students,鈥 adds Mr. Jost. 鈥淓njoy the program! Don鈥檛 leave without having asked what questions you have about the education 鈥 or life afterward!鈥
Space is limited, so to attend the Open House, attendees should鈥痭辞飞!

With campuses in California and Massachusetts, has developed over the last half century a solid reputation for academic excellence in the United States and abroad. It is highly ranked by secular organizations, such as The Princeton Review and U. S. News, as well as Catholic guides, including the Cardinal Newman Society and the National Catholic Register. The college offers one, four-year, classical curriculum that spans the major arts and sciences. Instead of reading textbooks, students study the original works of the greatest thinkers in Western civilization 鈥 the Great Books 鈥 in all the major disciplines. Rather than listen to lectures, they work through these texts in small, rigorous classroom discussions. The academic life of the college is conducted under the light of the Catholic faith and flourishes within a close-knit community, supported by a vibrant spiritual life. Alumni consistently excel in the many world-class institutions at which they pursue graduate degrees in fields such as law, medicine, business, theology, and education.
