The powerful strains of Mozart鈥檚 Requiem in D Minor filled the Fritz B. Burns Auditorium on November 22, as 黑料不打烊鈥檚 California Choir and Orchestra performed for an audience of students, tutors, and families.

The concert, part of the St. Vincent de Paul Lecture and Concert Series, took place, fittingly, on the evening of the Feast of St. Cecilia, the patron saint of music and musicians. The chorus and orchestra, composed of students, tutors, and visiting musicians, gave a stirring performance, lifting the hearts of their listeners to God through the sacred music.

The passion that the musicians brought to the performance was not lost on the audience, which listened with captivation. 鈥淚t was powerful,鈥 said Estevan Henderson (鈥26). 鈥淚t moved me; I could hardly help but move to it.鈥

鈥淚t鈥檚 so beautiful to experience live music, and you rarely get to experience a live orchestra,鈥 said Brigit Lind (鈥27). 鈥淭here鈥檚 something so amazing about being there while it鈥檚 going on, to watch the singers, to watch the musicians, and to feel the vibration of the sound!鈥
