The campions, however, still had one more obstacle to face: the undefeated faculty team, composed of tutors Dr. Stephen Shivone, Dr. John McCarthy, Dr. Pierre-Luc Boudreault, Dr. Thomas Smith, and Dr. Peter Cross, plus Associate Director of Admissions John Jost. The faculty gave it their all, with Dr. Shivone repeatedly slamming the ball over the net and Mr. Jost diving to keep the ball up dozens of times. But the Cecchi/Egan team wasn’t ready to give up, putting all the energy it had left into this last match, and leading its members to victory in the end! The players cheered triumphantly, relishing their remarkable win over the tutors, before heading back to the residence halls for a well-deserved siesta.

For dinner, the kitchen staff hosted an outdoor barbeque outside the Bl. Frassati Student Center, serving up juicy hamburgers and hot dogs, potato salad, and coleslaw. Afterward, the group headed inside Dolben Library to study Euclid’s Elements and Boethius’s Consolation of Philosophy for the next day’s classes.

At the conclusion of study hall, all returned to the Chapel for the evening Rosary:

Then came the night’s main event: Open Mic Night in Olivia Music Hall! Students performed songs, poems, and skits, much to the delight of the audience. Eddie S. played an original piano composition, Cecilia M. and Teresa C. showed off their Irish step dancing skills, and Dominic L. and Damian L. dazzled the crowd with an impressive juggling act. Everyone had a wonderful time watching each performance, and students chattered excitedly as they walked back to their residence halls for curfew. Once everyone returned, students were treated to pita chips and hummus before bed, ready to tackle the challenges of the next day.
